Hey! I’m Jeremiah Christie (and that’s my cat, Ocho). I’m a values- and value-driven UX designer, educator, and author with over seven years of diverse experience, living and working across three continents. UX’s emphasis in discovering needs and resolving friction drew me in – it meshes perfectly with my abilities to discern pain points, see through the eyes of others, and optimize material and presentation to fit each unique situation.
I strongly believe that the best products drive meaningful change by meeting real needs of real people, and that they intrinsically provide value to everyone involved. I believe that authentic solutions can only be reached by understanding both the situation and the user’s perspective on it. And I believe that true results are best created with buy-in from all connected parties. These principles guide all my work, whether I’m conducting user research or presenting designs to stakeholders.
I’ve designed apps; conducted competitor analysis and usability testing; written and voiced subway announcements; taught university lexicology; published storybooks; directed multimedia storytelling performances; walked on the Great Wall; and watched a Space Shuttle launch, as well as some other stuff. And I’m just getting started.
I love collaborating with creative people of all sorts, especially those who are good at things I’m not. I’m always looking for something new to learn. I’m also currently looking for a job in UX. If you’re interested in working with me, have a look at my resume. I’d love to have a conversation with you to see if we might be able to make something awesome together – please let me know!
